Dermal filler is a non-permanent clear, soft gel made from hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that exists naturally in our skin and it’s responsible for keeping skin hydrated and taut. As we age, the production of natural hyaluronic acid drops significantly which is the reason for loose skin and wrinkle formation.
To restore the contour and volume, dermal filler is injected into the dermis or deep into the periosteum, resulting in an almost immediate improvement of the wrinkles and a younger appearance. The most popular treatment areas include: cheek contouring, lip enhancement, removal of nose to mouth lines, removal of around the mouth or around the eyes wrinkles, and jowls.BOOK CONSULTATION

Every treatment starts with a thorough examination of the upper, middle and lower face. Next, the doctor will discuss in detail areas of volume loss and treatment options. To optimise the results, our cosmetic doctor may suggest a combination therapy treatment involving the use of fillers, Botox, and skincare regimes.
Dr Marta has a special interest in minimal invasive injectable techniques. She is well known for the supermodel V Lift and a non-surgical facelift which lifts and tighten the skin, at the same time preserving the natural features. Dr Dykowska likes to use the latest range of resilient dynamic fillers that also stimulate natural collagen production.

Botox and fillers are two different substances and they work in a different way. Botulinum toxin type A, commonly known as Botox, is a muscle relaxant that is injected into the muscle to prevent the muscle contraction causing wrinkles. Botox is usually used on the upper face, for areas such as frown lines or around the eyes lines.
Filler is a clear hyaluronic acid based soft, colour free gel. It is injected into the dermis and hypodermis to bring back the contour or volume. It is also used to stimulate collagen and elastin, and to hydrate the skin.
Both fillers and Botox have an anti-wrinkle and rejuvenating effect. They work very well in combination – Botox for upper parts of the face, and fillers for the lower areas.
Loose skin and the appearance of jowls are the result of receding bone and the thinning of deep fat pads under the skin. As the loose skin from the cheeks naturally moves down, jowling becomes visible. Treatment of jowls is focused on lifting the skin and restoring lost volume. Once the skin is lifted, jowls became less prominent and a more youthful look is restored. The cost of the non-surgical facelift, in Fulham and Parsons Green, starts from £750 and is a great alternative to the classical facelift. With mild jowling starting around the mid 30’s, a simple V Lift may be carried out to reduce jowling visibility. The V Lift in our Fulham Clinic starts from £450.
A skin peel is the best treatment to get rid of the dead skin layer. The skin turnover rate is 28 days and increases with age. This is how long a cell needs to travel to the top layer of the epidermis and to become necrotic. A build up of dead cells can clog the pores and cause acne, white/black heads or dull looking skin. The number of treatments depends on the strength of the peel. For example, our gentle glow peel is recommended every 2 months. Our stronger peels are an advised once a year treatment. We offer a free skin consultation in our Parsons Green and Fulham practice.
Cosmetic treatments are popular for both women and men. The most popular male treatments are; hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and Botox for wrinkles. In our clinic, we treat male patients to preserve the masculine features. For example, we would not raise the lateral eyebrows. Another common procedure for men is jaw line contouring to give more definition to the jaw line and jaw angle, or non-surgical Rhinoplasty.
Botox treatments last on average from 3 to 6 months. This depends on the treated area and muscle activity. People with over active muscles may need a top up of Botox a few weeks after the original treatment.
Dermal fillers on average last from 6 to 18 months. Some materials are longer lasting. We recommend a thorough consultation with a cosmetic doctor to identify the best treatment for you. The length of time that fillers last also depends on the area that they are used. For example, lip fillers tend to last a shorter time than cheek fillers because lip muscles are more active than cheek muscles. During the consultation, our cosmetic doctor will tell you what materials are used and how long they last.
There are two indications for Botox treatment. One is preventative Botox – this is done in the mid 30’s to prevent the formation of deep wrinkles. The second indication is already existing static lines. The static lines start to form in the late 30’s and early 40’s. The best practice is to prevent, not to treat!
Dark circles around the eyes is a common problem for men and women. Dark circles are caused by the hollow around the orbital rim and skin pigmentation. We usually recommend a combined treatment; tear trough filler and targeted skin peels. Some home skincare products may also be required. Tear trough treatments are very complex and must be performed by experienced cosmetic doctors.
Every medical or cosmetic treatment carries potential risks. Botox and fillers are relatively safe, compared to other more invasive procedures. Some of the most common unwanted effects are swelling, bruising and tenderness in the treated area. It is very important to make your cosmetic doctor aware of any medical conditions and of the medication you take.
There are many dermal and lip fillers available on the market. In our clinics, we use products that are FDA approved and widely tested. We use a new range of hyaluronic acid based gels called dynamic fillers. These fillers work together with muscles creating the most natural effects. Also, a lot depends on the skills of the injector. This is why cosmetic injectable treatments like Botox, and lip or dermal fillers, should be carried out by an experienced doctor.
A lot of patients are worried that they will look strange or ‘overdone’ after undergoing Botox or filler treatment. Dr Marta has a special interest in natural dynamic aesthetics. She is very careful and spends a lot of time treating her patients to provide natural but fresher looks. For patients wanting a more subtle look, smaller amounts of fillers are recommended. Patients wanting a more dramatic look require larger volumes of dermal or lip fillers. Dr Marta discusses the expectations, treatment options, and previous treatments with each patient.
Dr Marta was very welcoming and friendly. She listened to me very carefully and spent time discussing my treatment. She made me feel comfortable and I was happy with the results. I highly recommend her services.
I had skin tightening treatment and Botox done with Dr Marta. I am very happy with the results. She is very professional and reassuring. I feel like her fees are reasonable compared with other clinics in Fulham.
